THE HOTTEST DAYS OF SUMMER - Mornington Peninsula

 Inspiration

“These timeless images capture the nostalgic essence of those mid-summer heatwave days, where the mercury rises and the only relief is to flock to the beach to cool off in clear shallow waters. Inspired by the iconic, slice-of-life coastal imagery of  legendary photographer Slim Aarons, this collection was photographed near my home on the Mornington Peninsula, an hour out of Melbourne, on some of the hottest days of Summer.  From Olivers Hill in Frankston, to the cliffs of Daveys & Canadian Bays in Mount Eliza, the crystal clear waters of Mills Beach and Mount Martha, the Mediterranean vibes of The Pillars, and further south to the ‘see & be seen playgrounds’ of Sorrento & Portsea, these images are a ‘fly on the wall’ glimpse of the Australian love affair with our coastal playgrounds.”
